It's been a while hasn't it?! :D

A couple of years ago, I attended a class on bear making and just haven't looked back. So now, 1 and half years later I've ventured into making my own patterns and creating bears from them. And so I present Cuggles and Squish, my very first pattern :D

He's made from Alpaca fibre (no alpaca's harmed in the making ;) ) and has Ultrasuede paw pads and is airbrushed using Copic Markers. He's fully jointed with his head being a wobble joint.

I have another one on the go at the moment and have also started to venture into fully armatured sculptures with clay features.

Enjoy =]

Hmph. THIS is what one of my friends never got about plush making-that it's an ART in and of itself. (Plus it is just fun.)
I said I'd make plush dolls for myself and I'd get "But WHY?!" indicating that I was immature and too old for dolls or making dolls.
(Not that mine are great looking, but they are hard work!)

Anywayyyy great job. They're very cute. I saw :icondolphy: commission she did for you and it was hard to figure out if Cuggles was a dog or a bear-sometimes I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. ^_^; Squish is SUPER adorable. Reminds me of a plush octopus I have that's the same color.

Hunny that is beautiful! But I don't quite understand everything you said :D

are the paw pads airbrushed, or the 'fur'? and how do you do that :D I think he's really really cute!!!

and squish too off course :D

Thank you hun, I'm really proud of them, espically being my first from pattern design to finished product.

See where the colour is darker, around the eyes near his nose and around his toes? That's the bit that has been airbrushed. There's a few ways to add colour to them, the most common is using Copic Markers (the pens most anime and manga artists use for their traditional colourings) and a little compressor. Basically air is pushed across the markers tip and the colour comes off. Does that make sense?
